Villagers are friendly characters in Minecraft. They are always looking for trouble and enjoy being bullied by zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, bats, and other monsters. Some villagers are dressed in normal clothes while others wear funny costumes. Guard Villagers can be seen running away from monsters or hiding in houses to escape the monsters that chase them.
If you want to protect your Guard villagers from all these mobs then you have to build a fence around them. But if you have a lot of villagers then building fences will take a long time so what should you do? You can build an iron golem or a snow golem instead
This mod adds Guards as a solution, as well as new villager-related AI changes.
In Minecraft, the player must keep a villager as one of their "followers" as they explore the world. The villager's role is to shoot arrows from afar at hostile mobs.
In this particular case, the single-mindedness of a villager is what makes them an excellent guard. Villagers will never stop following the player, and they will never stop shooting arrows at hostile mobs
